What to expect from your BMW M Drift Academy day.
Welcome to the new BMW M Drift Academy. Here, every curve is an invitation to the ultimate driving experience. Whether you're a drift newcomer or already have substantial experience, this unforgettable training guarantees pure action and thrills for everyone.
Take a theoretical dive into the exciting aspects of driving physics and get acquainted with your BMW M vehicle on the warm-up course, practicing steering technique, proper line of sight, and precise throttle control. Then the real action begins: you will let your vehicle break out in a controlled manner on a wet surface, and safely catch it again. We will show you how to drift precise circles and use the full potential of the first two gears. In directional changes, find the perfect balance and steer the BMW vehicle steadily in the desired direction.
Breakfast or lunch and refreshments are included.
Activities on the day
Theory session
Oversteer initiation & interception
Drifting full & half circles
Direction changes with pendulum
Track your progress with the BMW M Drift Analyser

Shorts, high heels and flip flops are not permitted, and heavy or wide soled shoes are not recommended. You are most welcome to bring your own helmet if you wish but these will be provided. You might also want to remember to bring sunglasses.
What do I bring with me?
Please ensure you bring your driving licence with you and have your National Insurance number to hand just in case. This is required for the DVLA Licence check process prior to the Driving Experience.
What are the requirements to participate?
You must have a full, valid, in-date driving licence which you have held for a minimum of two years. Are spectators allowed?
This event is designed for a high level of guest participation with limited viewpoints, therefore non-participants are not recommended.
Will my Driving Experience be cancelled due to weather?
Despite the reputation of the British weather, in reality, very few Driving Experience days are affected by poor conditions. In any case, our event is designed to be weatherproof and hospitality will be available at each activity. In extreme cases, you will be notified and able to re book onto another Driving Experience session if your booking is cancelled due to weather.
What do I do if I can no longer attend the Driving experience I have booked onto?
If you are no longer able to attend the Driving Experience you are booked onto please either cancel your booking on the registration page or contact the team on 02077 065 656 or BMWMDrivingExperience@delegate.com.
Can I drive my own car on the track?
We cannot allow any participants to drive their personal vehicles on our Driving Experience programmes. All driving activities will take place in BMW UK fleet vehicles.
Can I drive a specific vehicle for my experience?
We offer a selection of BMW & BMW M models that are most suited to the Driving Experience Programmes. There will be an opportunity to select a preference on model when booking the experience. Although there is no guarantee, we will try our best to accommodate for any model preferences.
